Job Summary:

The Business Analyst is part of the Engineering/Product team reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering. This person will collaborate with all business teams to understand their needs, gather requirements, and define the scope of new projects or features. They will analyze and document business processes, creating detailed business requirement documents. This person should also understand and ensure solutions comply with financial regulations and standards by being able to identify potential risks associated with proposed solutions and recommend mitigation strategies. During the projects they will facilitate training sessions to drive understanding and adoption of new solutions.

The right candidate knows the fundamentals of the business intelligence function. This person has demonstrated experience working with engineers and business teams to deliver high quality technical solutions.

What you'll work on:

You will meet with business and engineering to discuss tactical and strategic reporting problems and projects. You will assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. You will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of professional business analyst, preferably in the fintech sector or related financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial products, services and regulatory landscape affecting the fintech industry
  • Utilizes data analytics tools to analyze financial data, market trends, and customer behavior, translating complex data into actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Additional Pluses, but not requirements:

  • Knows how to write non-trivial SQL queries
